Once the spec is agreed, we can work on an "Alpha version" of the database.
The Alpha version is not a fully working system, but it does give you a basic idea of how the database will look and feel to use.

It's a great chance for you to check the design early in the development process, and to feedback any concerns or alterations to the overall system before we get a long way into the project.

It also ensures that what we deliver further down the line is just what you're expecting and that there are no surprises. That's good news for us, as well as you!
