VPN (Virtual Private Network/ing)

Using the internet as if it were your own private network, it's possible to access your PC or server from a web browser like Internet Explorer, wherever you are in the world. This is Virtual Private Networking, and it is now well within the reach of small businesses to implement. You effectively take remote control of a PC in your office - it could be your own desktop PC or perhaps a "Terminal Server" PC, specifically setup for the purpose.

You could be working on a Word document from home, even though the document is stored on your PC in the office. Or perhaps updating an Excel spreadsheet that lives on your company's server PC.

At Tarragon, we can also (with your authorization) get access to your PC via VPN technology. You might want us to do this, so that we can see a problem you're having, and help you to resolve it.

Special security has to be setup, to ensure that only people you authorize can access your VPN.
